1C68 should probably be a 365.
5C68 comes in as a 365, forms 1C68 at Cambridge, which is listed as a 317.

Same for 1C89 and 1C69.

sorry, I didn't have time to play your timetable until now. I think your timetable would improve a lot if you made rules for the freight trains that stop at Cambridge goods. I did it and it makes it a bid harder to manage Cambridge when a train stops there for 40 minutes.
Another note: You can't join a loco at the goods lines so I changed 4z97 and 4z88 to stop at the reception lines as they are empty anyway. Oh and 4z97-1 missed its next train working (4z97-2).

You can join locos to trains on the goods lines: that's what the triangles are for. They are only enabled when the relevant TC is occupied so you can't send trains wrong line through the Goods Loops.

I found another small error: under train types the 'EMU 356x8' is 80meters while the 'EMU 356x4' is also 80meters long. I think the first one should be 160 meters?

Re the freight train dwell times, I don't think forcing the trains to wait for their alloted pathing time would be realistic, esp as these are scratch paths (unvalidated).

IRL the train would buzz out if crewed up, and the siggie would either run it early or hold it to time as he/she saw fit.

Thanks for pointing the errors out. I'll update and post a new version when I get round to it!

What I tend to do is look at the times and if it is shown as 2 mins then that is probably a crew change so I give it (say) 1.5 mins hold. If its longer it maybe loading/unloading so I give it a longer hold (say) 5 mins less than shown- depends. It's really just the pathing stops that give the difficulty.

well the timings for these trains are between 10 minutes and 50 minutes, but as they are all deverted trains they won't be loaded/unloaded. (would any train be loaded at camebridge these days anyway?).

A driver change does take 2 minutes if the new driver is standing ready, so I guess if the train is expected to wait for 50 minutes the driver won't arive at the moment the train arives at cambridge.

Anyway I have been playing around a bit with your timetable Rushey I added a few shunt moves and reapeared the reported mistakes, shall I send it to you? or should I keep it for myself?

I know this topic has been dormant for some time, but having been playing this, I have 1L29 and 5K96 booked to join in platform 6 at cambridge, however, when I signal 5K96 into platform 6, it refuses to couple to 1L29, is this a timetabling error or am I missing something?

Maybe neither...

Just because two trains occupy the same platform does not necessarily mean they are meant to join together. In SimSig for that to happen, the timetable of both trains has to specifically state for each train that a join will take place at that particular location with the other train.

If you check the timetable of both trains, if both have further locations beyond P6 at Cambridge *AND* there is no Join action in P6, then the trains were never meant to join and should run separately.

I managed to get them to couple earlier, had to shunt 5K96 to the signal and then make 1L29 shunt forwards and they coupled, they were booked to couple and form 1K96
