Has anyone had a small hic-cup with this one. 5A00-1 got down to Bounds Green no problem and later 5A00-1B entered from Bounds Green and the warning appeared on the message board that it had entered. But before I have had time to set the route it has now disappeared from the board. I have tried F2 to locate it bit it has gone. Any ideas. Geoff Log in to reply |

I know that this is a really old timetable, but I haven't encountered any major errors running it for the first 6 or so hours. However, now I'm having a really weird problem that I can't seem to diagnose. It involves 5Z39, which is the motorail vans that get moved from platform 1 to platform 11 (via a series of shunts). When the vans get to platform 11, the shunter detaches and becomes 0Z43M, and the vans themselves become 5Z77 and they wait in platform 11 until the evening when 0Z77M joins with them. However, after the shunter detaches, 5Z77 think it still has a loco attached and it shows as "Ready to depart by train )z43M in front" rather than "Waiting for joining train 0Z77". I've looked at the timetable, and can't figure out the issue. I've included a save just before 5Z39 is shunted in to platform 11, if you need early saves I have those too. Post has attachments. It looks OK but this is as you say an old timetable and there are a lot more ways to help keep trains 'behaving' now. What is reported is 5Z77 wanting to depart, and quite correctly 0Z43 is still in front. The odd bit is it should be still be waiting for 0Z77, maybe the zero time and activity at the first location is causing that ? However comparing to how it could be set up now: 5Z77 is still powered (5Z39 detach loco rear would fix that) 5Z39 join 0Z77, next 5Z77 should also stop the attempted departure. None of these moves have times, which was how the older timetables often coped with set down / not waiting for time. The new 'stop&go' (stop brief) would fix that, and use dwell times if needed there too. Log in to reply |
