Hi,

Just had a possible SOWC at track section TLLLY (L1041 Down Home Bodmin Parkway) but the alarm received said the TCF was in the PAR1 SSI. Is this correct?

Great sim btw, certainly lots to do :)

Thanks
Jamie

It is correct, PAR1 is the name of the SSI interlocking controlled by the panel in Lostwithiel.

Jamie,

This is a historical issue.

When Largin Signal Box was closed, the intention was that this would have been the first stage for the Cornish Main Line to be controlled from two panels in Par and Camborne. One of the now-retired MOMs from St Blazey rescued the plans from the skip and showed them to me once, it is fortunate it never happened as proposed as there would not have been much infrastructure left.

The interlocking for Largin is contained within the S&T Depot at Par, and was intended to have housed the panel as well had it been built. Until the axle counters were modernised when the Bodmin area gained the extra signals it was also one of the smallest SSI interlockings ever commissioned, having only a fraction of the total capacity used.
