Hi all,

In connection with my new Bathampton Junction (Westbury sim) TT comes this question. I have a freight in as part of the TT, id as 6V12 (1538 Woking Down Reception - Merehead Quarry) which enters at Wilton Junction and thus reverses at Westbury Down Yard.

Does it matter whether I put it in at 1-6, 7-12 or New Sidings, or can I just pick any of those three?

Dave

According to Quail, there's a run-round loop in each group of sidings, so it shouldn't matter. It's all academic as when you ring for permission the shunter asks for it on a random line anyway.

Cheers Steamer. Further investigation revealed that you can specify either 1-6, 7-12 or NEW so I have put 6V12 to use 1-6. The rounaround 0V12 is timed to enter and terminate at 1-6 while the second leg of 6V12 are timed to enter at 1-6 also.

Even so, when you call the shunter, he will tell you where HE wants it, which won't necessaries match where the timetable says it will go. Just the way Westbury rolls...

Sorry guys, I am in the business of making people wait!
