Hi All,

Been banging my head against a wall for a few weeks trying to figure this out. Is there any way to start a simulation from a certain time, or skip forward to a certain time, and also have trains spawn in to their locations on a map?

Many thanks

Hello there!

It depends on whether you want to start with trains "seeded" or not. If you start without seeding, no trains will be in the simulation already and you must for them enter the simulation from an entry point. It must be written into the timetable to have multiple seed start times.
If this does not matter to you then you can start any simulation from any time from the timetable selection screen. There will be a dropdown at the bottom of the timetable list, with HR and MIN to the right of the drop down. (You can also select a pre set start time with or without seeding from this drop down) Enter any custom time in those boxes in 24hr clock format, and the simulation will launch from that custom start time!

If you are already in a simulation and want to fast forward time, F3 will have a slider with time control from 1/4x speed all the way to 500x. A nice shortcut is pressing the "F" key will fast forward the sim at maximum speed for EXACTLY 5 minutes simulation time! You can press "N" to resume normal time!

Hope this helps

The problem with starting after the time that trains seed is that some of those may affect future workings, and some later trains may not appear. Also, would there not be a problem if a "Day of the Week" train didn't seed?
