Note that the linespeed throughout the control area is 10mph. As the lines are generally used by long freight trains, there is plenty of time to regret a regulation decision! The 1985-1990 layout is a little easier in this regard, as a number of moves which would be conflicting in later eras are possible simultaneously.
Except in the 2016-2023 era, the Down Salop to Gresty Lane is bi-directional for shunting purposes; a slot can be requested to Gresty Lane.
The slot next to CE131LOS on the Down Chester Independent must be granted to allow Crewe PSB to set a route towards that signal.
The Up Fast and Slow Independent lines are bi-directional; a slot can be granted provided the block indicator is at Normal.
