The approach will look back to Crewe Station, Crewe TMD, and Down Chester Independent lines with the appropriate routes set.

The section time between Steel Works and Beeston Castle is between 7 and 10 minutes. This time is of course extended because of the need to operate the Absolute Block (unless disabled).
