EdinburghThe point at the south end of the Up Loop must be normal in order to release the ground frame.
Both lines between Grantshouse to Innerwick are bi-directional. The Down line is fully signalled in both directions, while the Up comprises a single section between the two locations. Unusually, automatic signals facing in the opposite direction to the signalled movement are not maintained at red and continue to operate normally in accordance with track circuit occupancy.
A phone call must be made to the sidings prior to signalling a train into them.
Flashing yellow sequences are provided into the platform loop in both directions.
The entry points to the Up loop must be normal in order to release the ground frame.
Note that, in order for a train off the North Berwick branch to receive a green at EF573R, you must set the route off the branch before the train occupies the track circuit. As signallers have no confirmation that a train has departed North Berwick on time, it is advised
St Germains barriers will lower when a route is set across from EA561 or EA562; this also means that the barriers will lower if ARS is running the area. The signaller is still required to press the 'Clear' button, however.
A slot must be requested from Cockenzie power station prior to a route being set into the sidings.
The entry points to the UPL must be normal in order to release the ground frame.
