Multiplayer & Chaining
The simulation is manageable by a single player with the aid of ARS.
The simulation chains at the following locations:

| Central Scotland or Cowlairs | Gartcosh Junction |
| Edinburgh | Micalder Junction (from Carstairs) |
| Edinburgh | Micalder Junction (from Shotts) |
The simulation can be chained to either Central Scotland or Cowlairs at the relevant locations. Note that messages and displays on Motherwell will state that Central Scotland is chained even if Cowlairs is the simulation chained.
Provision exists for the simulation to chain at other fringes, should the corresponding simulation be developed in the future.
