As with most simulations, two October 2009 timetables are provided: the so-called Groundhog day timetables. One is a midnight start; the other an 04:45am start. These feature a lot of freight and some unexpected routing around the Newcastle area so read the timetable carefully. What's more, certain joins and dual platform usage (particular 5/6 and 7/8 at Newcastle) require more than just reading the timetable: you also need to check that what is there already is in the right place, lest you end up with two trains facing each other with nowhere to go.
Again, as in most timetables, platform clashes have been left exactly as timetabled by the railway timetable planning departments. Real life signallers have to deal with this and so should you. The only corrections made are where ARS would wrongly route a train due to incorrect line codes.
