SimSig Worksop

Features

Level Crossings

There are multiple level crossings in the simulation and from time to time, people may require to use them. When they do, they call the signaller and request permission to cross. They will call again once they are safely over. It is the signaller’s responsibility to check it’s clear and give permission, or advise them to wait. A penalty is given if trains pass over a crossing where permission has been given but they have not called to tell you the crossing is clear again.

Block Instruments

Within this simulation a simplified representation of Absolute Block working is included.

Before a train can be sent, permission has to be obtained from the next box in advance, and when the train enter the section, the block instrument is pegged to Train on Line, until the train is seen to be out of the section by the next signal box.

Full details of operation are given in the Absolute Block section of this manual.
