Overview
This SimSig simulation covers the geographical area between Glasgow (Queen Street), Greenhill Upper and Lower Junctions and also the lines off to Gartsherrie (Motherwell) and Westerton (Yoker). The sim notionally represents the area and signalling as at November 2007 (when I first visited the box) and an earlier option which notionally represents the area in around the 1980s. There maybe some variations and inconsistencies with the reality at those times.
Cowlairs box is normally run as two panels.
Further information
The Cowlairs simulation is a cut-down version of the Central Scotland simulation. To avoid duplicating information, please refer to the Central Scotland user manual . Note that the 'New Cowlairs' era in this simulation is equivalent to both the 'Pre SAK' and 'Post SAK' eras in Central Scotland.
Chaining
This simulation chains with Motherwell at Gartsherrie South Junction. The simulation will be recognised as "Central Scotland/Cowlairs" in Motherwell.
