SimSig WorksopClipstone signal box covers the area between Shell Mex siding at Warsop Jcn, through Welbeck towards the branch to Mansfield, Rufford, Bilsthorpe and Clipstone collieries, along with Rufford Coal stacking site. It fringes to Shirebrook Jcn (Track Circuit Block) and Thoresby (Absolute Block ).
Originally, there was a a box at Welbeck Colliery Jcn, along with 2 boxes at Clipstone (East and West, of which West remains), however all control now resides with Clipstone West box, controlling the local area with semaphores, and the wider area with an NX panel.
Elmton & Creswell Junction signal box is a mechanical box which covers the area between Langwith-Whaley Thorns and Woodend Junction. It fringes with Worksop (AB ) and Shirebrook (AB) and Seymour (TCB, 1980s mode only).
The box once controlled entry to the now closed Cresswell Colliery, and at one point also had a loop. The box was kept in use until Shirebrook Jcn received a tail lamp camera at Shirebrook East Jcn, after which Elmton and Cresswell was permanently switched out (all signals cleared for the mainline and communication is direct between worksop PSB and Shirebrook Jcn). The box (when switched in) also supervises Norwood crossing which is manned by a Crossing Keeper and equipped with a groundframe and signal protection.
Kiveton Park signal box covers the area from Woodhouse Junction to Kiveton Park. It fringes to Woodhouse signal box (TCB), and Worksop signal box (TCB).
The Box is worked by an IFS panel as a result of the 1997 EROS (Eradication Of Signalboxes) scheme, which saw Kiveton Park Colliery box close, and Kiveton Park station take control of the remaining line. There was also a box at Brookhouse Colliery, between Woodhouse Jcn and Kiveton Park Colliery, which closed in 1985, although this isn't simulated.

Maltby Colliery South signal box covers the South Yorkshire Joint line from St. Catherine’s junction to Dinnington Junction, and has a branch to Harworth Colliery. It fringes to Doncaster (TCB), and Worksop (AB).
This came about around 1990 when Firbeck A signal box closed and TCB working began controlled from Maltby Colliery South (North box having closed 1978). The Box has a 36 lever frame controlling the local area, and an IFS panel controling the remaining area. Before 1997, Maltby worked Electric Token Block to Dinnington Jcn signal box. This became Tokenless Block to Worksop PSB (provided with a Tail Lamp camera at Dinnington) after the EROS scheme closed Dinnington box. At Harworth Colliery, there is a Ground frame providing access to the sidings for the Glass Bulbs Company, and a cripple siding (neither are simulated).
Seymour Junction signal box controls the area from Hall Lane Junction to Oxcroft Colliery (2000s era) or Creswell (1980s), and the branch to Bolsover Colliery. It fringes to Sheffield (TCB) and Creswell (TCB, 1980s only). No trains use this area in the default 2009 WTT.

Shirebrook Junction signal box is a mechanical box covering the area from Mansfield Woodhouse to Creswell, and the branch to Welbeck Colliery Junction. It fringes to Kirkby Summit signal box (TCB), Creswell SB (AB) and Clipstone SB (TCB). It replaced Warsop Jcn, Shirebrook station and Shirebrook Sidings signal boxes, when the area was resignalled to TCB working with MAS signalling. Shirebrook also boasted a Colliery (not simulated) and a small depot next to the station for fuelling and inspection of traction for the local coal traffic. It is also home to the site of WH Davies Wagon Works.

Thoresby Colliery Junction signal box covers the area from Clipstone East Junction to Thoresby Colliery, and the entrance to a disused test track (which used to continue to High Marnham power station) beyond signal TC4. It fringes to Clipstone (AB) only.
The box as it is today came into use in the mid-60s when the Retford dive-under was constructed to replace the existing flat crossing over the ECML. All the local boxes were closed except Thrumpton, and an NX panel installed to control movements over the new layout.
Level Crossing barriers are lowered automatically on start-up and should only be raised when a person wishes to cross the line. They will lower themselves again shortly afterwards. If the person using the crossing is crossing with a slow vehicle, sheep, etc. then the ‘hold’ button should be operated when the barriers are raised, to keep them up. When the person reports the crossing as clear, the ‘hold’ button can be released by right-clicking, and the barriers will lower themselves.

Worksop signal box, the largest in the sim, covers the area from Kiveton Park to halfway between Manton Junction and Mansfield Road LC, and branches to Maltby and Creswell. It fringes to Maltby (AB), Kiveton Park (TCB), Creswell (AB) and Thrumpton (TCB). Until 1997 when the EROS scheme came to fruition, the area was controlled by Brancliffe East (frame), Shireoaks Station (IFS panel also controlling Woodend Jcn), Shireoaks East Junction (frame), Worksop West (frame) Worksop Sidings (frame, closed 1985) Worksop East (frame) and Manton Jcn (frame, closed early 80s)and Dinnington Jcn (frame). The area was signalled by Absolute Block throughout, except between Brancliffe and Dinnington Jcn, which was Permissive Block.
There are both Up and Down yards at worksop which deal primarily with the storage and servicing of MGR traffic and locos. On the Up side, there is a wagon repair shop and loco fuelling point, as well as MGR storage roads, and sidings for Rockware glass (now removed). On the downside was a large yard for storing spare wagons, and loaded rakes of MGRs laying over for a period of time. Shireoaks Station and Worksop East boxes remain to this day as emergency local control crossing boxes, and Worksop West box has been privately purchased.
LC must be clear before Signal WP524 will clear towards Signal WP802.
