The below chart shows platform lengths for Birmingham New Street.
Red indicates A platforms, Green B platforms, Yellow the middle section between the signals on the A and B platforms e.g. between 184 and 185 on platform 10, and Black the end sections e.g. between 162 and 163. Blue represents platform 4C.
Platform lengths are given in metres, with the gridlines at 46m intervals. This is estimated to be close to two typical DMU/EMU car-lengths (158, 170, 323, 220/221).
The platform lengths are taken from the 2014 Timetable Planning Rules document.
