Timetabling

Introduction

This section is to assist people in writing timetables. If you are simply playing a supplied timetable then this information may prove useful but not necessary.

Off-Screen but In-Sim Locations

Victoria Central has a couple of areas that are simulated off-screen to reduce the number of rules required for trains that exit and then re-enter Victoria Central's control area. These are:

Sutton via West Croydon to Selhurst
Sutton via West Croydon to Norwood Junction and Crystal Palace
Latchmere Junction to Clapham Junction platform 2
Crystal Palace to Beckenham Junction

Timetabling Notes

From Sutton, trains timetabled to re-enter at Selhurst should include West Croydon, optionally Gloucester Road Junction, and then Selhurst with a line code of FL or SL. If a train does not re-enter then its last location should be West Croydon.
From Sutton, trains timetabled to re-enter at Bromley Junction should include West Croydon, optionally Gloucester Road Junction, Norwood Junction, and then Bromley Junction. If a train does not re-enter then its last location should be West Croydon.
From Selhurst, trains scheduled to re-enter at West Croydon should include Selhurst, optionally Gloucester Road Junction, and then West Croydon. If a train does not re-enter then its last location should be Selhurst.
From Bromley Junction, trains scheduled to re-enter at West Croydon should include Norwood Junction, optionally Gloucester Road JUnction, and then West Croydon. If a train does not re-enter then its last location should be Norwood Junction.
Trains from Latchmere Junction to platform 2 at Clapham Junction and then returning to Latchmere Junction should use the specific Clapham P2 location. ACI can be performed here.
Trains from Crystal Palace to platform 1 at Beckenham Junction and then returning to Crystal Palace should use the specific Beckenham Junction (Central) location. ACI can be performed here.
ACI can also be performed for through trains at:

West Croydon from Sutton
Selhurst from Streatham area
Norwood Junction from Crystal Palace

Through trains that ACI at West Croydon from Selhurst/Crystal Palace should instead do so at Selhurst/Norwood as appropriate. Similarly, West Croydon should be used for Up trains.
