Full ARS is provided throughout the simulation. In general, it can run the service without assistance, though as ever manual intervention will be required for routes into sidings, joining moves and in the event of disruption.
The East Coast Main Line (running through the simulation from Shaftholme Jn to Darlington) is electrified with standard 25kV ac overhead electrification; this includes the Up/Down Leeds lines between Colton Jn and York, and the Up/Down Slow lines between York and Northallerton. Holgate sidings are electrified, as is the Up entrance to York South Sidings, and the line labelled 'ENG' at the Down end.
No other lines are electrified- notably, the parcels/loco sidings and platforms 2 & 4 at York are not electrified, nor can an electric train shunt onto the Scarborough line at York.
