Introduction

Opened in 1973, Carlisle PSB controls just over 60 miles of the West Coast Main Line from Carnforth in the south to just over the Scottish border at Gretna. The area is dominated by the steep climb over Shap summit, and care is needed to ensure express passenger trains don’t get stuck behind slow moving freight trains. At Carlisle, four lines converge and you’ll need to plan ahead to run the passenger and freight traffic without causing delays.

Carlisle is currently free to download and play, although Donations are gratefully received.
