Introduction
Take control of part of the world's first inter-city passenger railway: the Broad Green- St Helens section of the Liverpool & Manchester. Somewhat different from its 1830s self, this simulation represents both the pre-2014 layout and the modernised one, which re-instated a third track between Huyton and Roby, as well as electrification of the route. Control also transferred from Huyton box to Ashburys ROC in Manchester. The secondary line from Huyton to Wigan is also included, part of which is controlled from St Helens box.
The line is busy with local stopping, regional express and inter-city passenger trains, along with a smattering of freight heading to and from Liverpool Docks. Good regulation is key to making sure express traffic isn't delayed by stoppers at the many stations in the area.
Huyton is a Payware simulation- to play beyond a short demo period requires the purchase of a license from the Products area .
