Introduction
Completing the set of West Midlands power box simulations, the Walsall simulation covers the area around Walsall station and the large freight yards at Bescot, as well as the Walsall- Rugeley route. This is effectively two simulations in one, thanks to the two eras represented: one simulating the latter days of Walsall PSB (with mechanical signalling on the Rugeley line), the second following transfer to the Birmingham ROC and the associated resignalling. The latter era also includes the electrification of the Rugeley route.
Traffic comprises local services serving Walsall and Rugeley, along with a reasonable amount of freight traffic serving the yards at Bescot and Rugeley power station, as well as through freights avoiding central Birmingham.
Walsall is a Payware simulation - to play beyond a short demo period requires the purchase of a license from the Products area .
Multiplay & Chaining
Chains on all fringes to Birmingham New Street , Saltley (2006 mode only), Staffordshire (2019 mode only) and Wolverhampton .
