The following is a list of ARS messages you may encounter when attempting certain actions, such as setting a conflicting route . Thanks to Clive Feather for the original list.
Message | Meaning |
---|---|
A train is already on the section of track that the other train needs | |
The red signal the train is approaching is an automatic signal, so ARS can't do anything. | |
You have attempted to make the train ARS, however the train is off it's planned path, so ARS doesn't know what to do with it. | |
The Train Description that has just been interposed is identical to another description already in the area | |
The train does not require a route to be set (as a rule, the train has at least 2 green signals ahead of it) | |
The train is entering the area in non-ARS mode, so you will need to route it manually. | |
The train has entered your control area on the wrong line (e.g. it's been put on the Fast instead of the Slow) | |
A route set for the train will foul the overlap for another train. | |
ARS has judged the second train to be more important, so is holding this train back. | |
ARS is setting routes for this train. | |
ARS is not setting routes for this train | |
No route has been set for this train because a join is planned here. | |
This train stops at this location, so no onward route will be set until departure time. | |
ARS is now setting routes for this train | |
This will occur when either a route is cancelled for a train, or the train is routed off it's planned path. | |
ARS is not setting routes for this train | |
The TD that has just been interposed does not match any timetable in the timetable list | |

No further routes have been set for this train because it reverses here. | |

This train is now running to a special timing pattern. | |

ARS will not set routes until the departure time is reached. | |
This train is currently waiting for another train to join, so ARS will not set any routes until the join is complete or abandoned. | |
The route this train requires cannot be set by ARS. | |
The ARS sub-area that this train is in has been disabled. The train must be routed manually | |
There is another train on the required route, so ARS will not set a route until it is clear. | |
ARS is waiting for the current route to prove . | |
ARS will not set a route until the train has given TRTS | |
ARS subarea(s) cancelled due to route cancel | A route has been cancelled somewhere in the sub-area, and so ARS has been disabled to prevent it attempting to re-set the route. The sub-area(s) will flash to indicate that they have been disabled in this way. |
Description |
The description that has just been interposed is somewhere else in the controlled area as well. |
