Originally Vaughan, then Vaughan-Harmon, now General Electric, the MCS workstations have developed from a trial site in the south east, to the North Kent workstations at Ashford, into controlling most of the West Coast Main Line from Watford (exclusive) to Norton Bridge and Kidsgrove.
Also in place are workstations for the South West Scotland Signalling Centre, initially comprising of the area controlled by Glasgow PSB, with provision to add Cathcart PSB and Paisley PSB at a later date.
Finally, more workstations are planned for the East Kent area.
