Operating Hours: 04.35 - 00.35. 567 trains in timetable, number operating varies by day of week
This simulation MUST use the 1998-2009 era. That is a default setting when the timetable starts.
This timetable is based on the working timetables for summer 2007 with the Oldham loop in full operation. Passengers could still travel from Manchester to Oldham in 14 minutes or to Shaw in 19. Perhaps more importantly, you could get out of Oldham and Shaw almost as quickly, subject only to the large amounts of pathing and engineering time inserted around Thorpes Bridge and Miles Platting. Be wary of letting trains approach Victoria too quickly.
The timetable start and end times retain all trains except a handful of overnight services and a rather dull procession of ECS workings into Newton Heath at the end of the operating day. Timetables vary each day for freight trains, but are essentially the same for passenger services except for Friday evenings. Fridays excepted, some late evening trains depart Victoria for the Bolton direction via Ordsall Lane and do not call at Salford Central.
Be aware of:
==========
1) All Oldham loop trains change headcode at Rochdale. It is vital to do this to avoid confusion later!
2) Many through trains also change their headcode at Victoria....
3) Watch for freights that have scheduled stops at Thorpes Bridge Jn or on the Philips Park - Brewery Jn curve
4) Welded rail trains leaving Castleton have the loco at the Rochdale end. They must reverse via Castleton North Jn, before heading south from signal CE52. Be aware that CE52 will not clear if a down train has been accpeted from Vitriol Works.
