This timetable is a standard weekday timetable based on the workings in late October 2016. The the timetable is based on a Friday in October, however there has been freight and other trains added from different days. Timetable data taken from RealTime Trains, headcodes are taken from the Network Rail WTT.

---Service Pattern---

Wrexham and the surronding area is only served by Arriva Trains Wales with one train in each direction operated by Vrigin Trains.

--Arriva Trains Wales--
The service pattern for Arriva Trains Wales is as follows,
1tph Wrexham Central - Bidston (2100-0000 1tp2h), operated by Class 150 DMU's
1tp2h Holyhead - Cardiff Central, with occasional trains going to Llandundo, rather than Holyhead or extending to Llanelli or Maesteg, Operated by Class 175 DMU's with one service in each direction at peak operated by the premier service set formed of a Class 67 locomotive, 4 coaches and DVT.
1tp2h Birmingham International - Holyhead, occasional trains terminate at Llandudno, operated by Class 158 DMU's, usually in pairs.
There are also occasional addtional shuttles between Shrewsbury & Chester, Chester & Wrexham or Shrewsbury & Wrexham.

--Virgin Trains (West Coast) --
Virign Trains operated 1 train a day to and from London Euston using Class 221 DEMU's. The service attaches to and spilts from a Euston-Holyhead service at Chester.

--Freight---
Freight in the area is sparse however there is some freight that service several freight yards on the, with all freight entering the sim going to one of the location on sim. The most regular flow is the 2 Timber flows from Kronopsan at Chirk with one going to Carlisle in Cumbria and another going to either Baglan Bay in Wales or Exeter in Devon. They are operated by Colas Rail who use Class 60 locomotives to haul the trains. Another regualar flow is Steel from Margam in South Wales to the steel works at Dee Marsh (Shotton), there is two of these trains each all operated by DB Cargo who use Class 66 locomotives to haul the trains. DB Cargo also operate the Wednesday only coal flow from Killoch Colliery in Scotland to the Cement works at Pennyfford, afain hauled by a Class 66 locomotive. There is a regular sandite, which is operated by Colas who use Class 56 locomotives to haul it. There is also one regular test train from Tyseley-Derby operated by Colas IM, using Class 37 locomotives for power.
