5a21 just entered at Hove yard heading for Brighton. It was supposed to reverse at Preston Park but I set it on to the direct route by mistake. It didnt phone to say wrong route! Is this supposed to be like this or not. EDIT:When the train got to Brighton it was routed over the west loop line. The train list now shows it as run out of vaild track. Last edited: 21/08/2011 at 07:43 by andrewf6672 Log in to reply |

Whenever a train leaves Brighton, the platform line tracks seem to release a bit late. This is inspite of the track section immedietly after the berth tracks have already released. After a delay of a few seconds, the platform berths also release. This seems to happen only if the train was occupying both the berths in the platform. If it was occupying only one berth then it releases as would be expected.Attaching a couple of images. Also,it may be my imagination but even at 1:1 speed, the sim seems to run a little too fast.I had also noticed this particular problem in the Croydon sim. The trains also start moving very early after they have been waiting at a red signal and then get a proceed aspect although I think this problem may be generic to Simsig. There is rarely any natural delay associated with the driver releasing the brakes or returning from the signal post or advancing the throttle, etc. Khalid. I'm guessing there's no ARS on this sim, even though it mentions ARS when you click a train describer...?

with 6O47 did you route it into the spur? I left it at Haywards Heath and it didnt do anything. Route it a bit further towards the spur and it will detach! Great sim by the way, I work in and out of Brighton all the time so its good to be on a familiar layout! Log in to reply |

Some one please helpsome of the freights at haywards heath are slightly too long for the block section so will draw forward past the signal in adcance before running round. haven't seen this specific train yet but i imagine if you route it forward. he will detach edit: 5a21 may have accepted route if direct to brighton is classed as a valid diversionary route to get to preston park, assuming the chord was unavailable? " said:" said:With regards to Brighton, I've checked the manual and I cannot find anything which explains how to call on trains into a platform which already has another train in it other then use the pass signal at danger command.Had 5A29 enter at Lovers Walk L11, set it's route to Shunt Signal 1257 and noted it got an overlap beyond the signal, despite the route being from a shunt signal to another shunt signal. Suspect this isn't correct behaviour so thought I'd report my observation just in-case....I do realise the simulation is a beta and that there may well be bugs outstanding, etc, as the post that started this thread stated.I'll double check but note the overlap markers on the diagram. Note that some shunt signals DO have overlaps - depends on risks etc. Is there another way of doing this without using the pass signal at danger command? I do like the debut of the simplifier tool as well as the new phone dialogue, Log in to reply |

Call-ons don't seem to work on the panel. One exception being at Haywards Heath, although it only operated with the auto button pressed.

V2.227.5 uploaded to same place as before. The main fix here is the call-on routes.

Hello, I am enjoying this Brighton sim so far! I am only a few hours into the timetable but it appears to me that most trains scheduled to reverse at Preston Park (Platform 1 at least) always leave 2 minutes late? I recall this happening at several other locations on different sims in the past, such as the Northam Depot area on Southampton for example. Has anyone else noticed this? I Thought I would point it out anyway on the off chance that it may be a problem somewhere. James Log in to reply |

I suspect this is because the default time to reverse direction in SimSig is greater than the booked time, especially with longer trains. Maybe we need some Boris bikes for the drivers to get to the other end faster. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply |

Umm... either I have an error that means I lose my current progress, or there's something I don't know yet. The CCTV operated crossing has got stuck. It lowered for a train to Lewes, and I clicked the CLEAR button. "Crossing blocked by road vehicle." Okay, I'll just press the Raise button. UH OH - it won't raise. I click the button, it lights up for a second then extinguishes. I can't raise the crossing, and I can't clear it. What can I do? (Formerly known as manadude2) Log in to reply |

Is the feature to allow bi-directional running between Copyhold Junction and Balcombe Tunnel Junction meant to not work? I have a TCF on the up line at Balcombe, but the simulation always claims "Route Not Available" when I attempt to route up trains onto the down line at Copyhold. There seems to be no way that I can find to request a slot on the down.

It will probably only work when the Sim is chained to Gatwick, which hasn't been released yet. Don't know about the 'no slot button' problem.
