Hi all,

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with signals entering approach locking even when there are no trains in the area? I find that cancelling routes around Bradford Jn and East Somerset Jn in both directions results in the signals entering approach locking even though there are no trains approaching. Is this a bug?

Kind Regards,

Jack

No it is intended behaviour, these signals are not fitted with "comprehensive approach locking" so will time out regardless of whether a train is present.
"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

You will find that all signals in the Westbury (Panel 1 & 2) area will do this.

It's not a bug, but as per the real panel. You will find that the timeouts will vary between 2 & 4 mins, so care full regulating is required.

Howard.

That is really interesting, thank you very much for the quick replies! Really enjoying Westbury at the moment but I am going to buy West Hampstead as I work for Network Rail in Derby so I feel an affinity with the box! Really hoping that Derby PSB will become available soon as I spent 3 hours working the panel in there the other week, best fun I have had for a long time!
