I haven't as yet converted to the new loader sims but am about to do so. Sorry if this seems a dumb question, but can TTs that worked with the old sims be used with the new ones? Is there a separate set of TTs for the loader sims?

Yes they can, however, they do use a different format when you save them so I suggest you open the old TT, check for errors etc (ANY Sim upgrade, regardless of loader or exe may have implications on the timetable) and then save them

As Noel says, they will in principle, though if the PATH data has been changed (which has nothing directly to do with loader) some trains will not validate. SwinDid is one Sim where the Timetable line and path codes changed slightly around Didcot for certain trains.

As I have several WTTs which work correctly with the non-Loader Swindid sim, I would like these to work correctly with the Loader version, so is anyone in a position to provide a list of which LINE & PATH codes changed so that I can update the WTTs accordingly?

Also, is there any way I can validate a whole WTT rather than just doing it train by train in the TT Editor?

All suggestions will be gratefully received.

Most sims won't change. Use the F4 -> Tools 1 -> Analyse Now function to check all the trains at once.

I'd forgotten that the Analyse function validated the entries in the WTT. Thanks for the reminder.

However, regarding the Swindid sim, some LINE/PATH codes did change at Didcot, so I would still, like to know what the changes were so I don't have to slowly work through the old WTT to see if I can find out what has changed.

Thanks in anticipation.

To be honest I can't remember and indeed I did not recall making the changes it was so long ago; but they were easily found and fixed by running that analyser then checking each of the highlighted trains and running the individual validation tests.

Thanks for the advice, Peter. I'll analyse each WTT and take it from there.
