Here's what I've come across:

  • trains drop out of ARS at:
    [ul]
    [li]Wimbledon P5-8 (towards Wimbledon)

  • on the Battersea Reversible (towards SE side)

  • on the Down Kensington at VC635

It's not really a major problem, though, as in the first two cases trains are about to exit the simulation anyway, and in the latter case, ARS kicks in again at the next signal, VC653
[/li]
  • I'm not absolutely sure, but I think the ultrasonic test trains reversing at Clapham Jn VC595 aren't handled properly by the sim. They change the timetable, however instead of reversing, they continue in the down direction.

  • W451 on the Down Portsmouth always remains at green, and if two trains are closely following each other, the second one will recieve an adverse change of aspect at W453

  • I got some messages about non-described trains being sent to a fringe signalbox, however I don't know what exactly caused it. However I'm reasonably sure that all my trains were properly described at all times.

  • [/ul]

Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

Just a quick confirmation on the ARS drop outs - it seems to be every train that does this, rather than specific timetables.

I've just started running Victoria Central with the 2009 0445 timetable, and I've noticed trains starting to queue up leaving the sim towards Selhurst. I have 1W03 on the Dn Brighton Slow showing terminated at Selhurst, no more timetabled trips, and on the Dn Brighton Fast just off-sim is 1D10-1 stopped at T67 Signal, with 2A12 and 5G07 now forming an orderly queue behind 1D10. The only way I can keep trains moving towards Selhurst for now is to monitor the F2 window and remove each train as it comes to a stand.

I don't know whether this is connected, but when I opened the sim a pop-up message box opened telling me that 22 errors occurred when the sim opened, and directed me to the log file in C/Users/Public/Documents to view the said errors.

    Regards,

    Phil.

Sounds like this issue, which was caused by running the simulation in the wrong era.

I did make the mistake of starting the sim in 2010 mode with the 2009 timetable, but I spotted it and, realising that is where I'd probably gone wrong, restarted the sim in 2000 mode. However, the same thing happened to 1W03 but now 1D10, instead of showing standing at T67 signal, now shows terminated at Selhurst, no more timetabled trips. I removed 1D10 and now 2A12 has moved up to Selhurst where it too shows terminated, no more timetabled trips.

Sounds more like you're running the outdated loader, not sure why the sim isn't telling you this.

The loader update seems to have sorted things out Sacro, thanks for making me aware of it. 1W03 has cleared Selhurst on the Dn Btighton Slow, I'm just waiting for my first Dn Brighton Fast train to see that all is well. The one thing I have noticed with the update is that the F2 Train List window looks remarkably different.

One other thing I forgot to mention in my first post:

At Tulse Hill, I can send Thameslink trains towards Peckham Rye without the driver challenging the route.

And vice versa - trains for Peckham will trundle happily away to Herne Hill.
