Hi Guys Hoping someone can help, earlier on this evening my laptop crashed while testing a Llangollen timetable, also uploading to YouTube and saving a video so probably my fault, simply I saved this timetable and saved it, before forcing a restart on my system as it was the only thing I could do, upon attempting to restart the saved game it gave me an error message 'This archive is not a valid Zip archive' twice followed by 'file is not a valid saved simulation'. Thinking it was just the save that was corrupted I went to start the simulation again the affected timetable no longer appears in the available timetable list, although the file is still in the simulation folder, any advice would be massively appreciated Thank you Log in to reply |

Jumping the gun a little here but if you have a more recent version of Windows with File History turned on you might be able to find a previous version of your timetable and/or saved game. WinRar and 7-zip might have zip fixing utilities, I'm not sure. But if the file was not completely saved when the shutdown occurred then there simply may not be enough to fix. Backup, backup, and then check the backup works! (Always an easy thing to say, I know) SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
