Whilst waiting for John(Meld) to come back online so we call have a full test with the Sheffield 83-84 timetable we have been working on, we decided to do a Gloucester 1988-1989 timetable. Some of the rules were copied from the Gloucester 1985 timetable that is available to download. Meld(John) did the Passenger & Parcels side of this timetable taken from Section PB British Railways Western region Working Timetable of Passenger & prcels train services from 15th May to October, 1989. Where as I (Pascal, 58050) did the freight side of this timetable using Section PB british railways Western Region Working Timetable of freight train services 05th October, 1988 to 14th May, 1989. One important thing to note, this timetable hasn't been tested so if you xould please post any issues on this thread, we will endeavour to cprrect any issues. Thanking You for your co-operation.

Hi 58050, a smashing tt, many thanks for sending it to me. Am enjoying the TT thus far (when my laptop works!). Have noted that there is no seed for the banking loco's at the start of the sim, so had to create an 0X00 shunt form the Down Sdgs to the Banker Spur, although, this has caused problems in that I have to reverse direction when re-assigning the B/L for their next working. Thus causing problems with joining. Also when 7E16 detaches 0B00 at Blackwell, the loco's then run-wrong line back to Bromsgrove, as the entire Loco+7E16+2 Loco's fouls the shunt signal & the bankers cannot x-over to the down to return to Bromsgrove for their next working. Knowing my luck I am doing something wrong, but thats my observations thus far, hope to get further with co-op from my lappy. Cheers Officer D When in doubt - Contingency plan 2A. Someone didn't buy the milk - 2A. Someone sneezed at Swansea - 2A. A driver complains the cab is too cold - 2A. Unable to operate a HEx service 4 vice 8 - 2A. Points failure at Ipswich - 2A. Landslip at Pitlochry - 2A Log in to reply |

revised V2.0 of Gloucester 1988-1989 timetable now available. Unfortunately I'm having difficulty in uploading this timetable via the user-contributed timetable section on forum. I have sent a 'PM' to Peter Bennett regarding this problem. Not sure whether it is me doing something wrong, or it is a fault with the system. Anyhow if anyone wants a copy e-mail me at:- pascalnadin@yahoo.co.uk & I'll send you a copy by return. Any issues pleasse use this thread. many thanks for your continued support.

I've just started playing this TT, and had this problem with two or three of the small-hours banked freights, so I did a bit of investigating. I think the problem is simply that (a) the Blackwell stopping point is defined as somewhere the front of the train stops at - unlike the 'Reverse at xxx' locations which generally seem to arrange for the rear of the train to stop at the correct point, and (b) the trains in quesion are quite long, typically 350m+. I did manage to get a one (350m) train to stop with the banker the right side of the centre road connection, by editing the Blackwell location stopping position to 'Far end exact' but with an Adjustment of -150! I can't see any detailed explanation of these settings in the wiki, but I am guessing that in this scenario a positive adjustment would mean 'stop x m short of' (eg to make room for attaching a train in front) and that negative adjustments therefore mean 'beyond'. Could one of you developers let me know whether or not I'm on the right track here? One other small issue I've found with the TT is that some freights spuriously call in with a wrong road at Horton Road Jn. This appears to be caused because the freights in this TT are set up with very prescriptive path/plat/lines, eg 'DM UM DM'. If I F2, edit TT, and remove the path and the line, these trains then accept their routes withou further ado. Last edited: 28/09/2011 at 13:33 by Adrian the Rock Reason: typos Log in to reply |

BTW when I download V2.0 of the 1989 TT, I get only a WTT file, ie no rules. Should there also have been a WTR file?

Update - I've now successfully managed to get an over-400m freight train to stop in the 'right' place at Blackwell after setting the stopping position to FX@-220.

Ome further small comment: all the 2Vxxs which enter at Longbridge and run to Droitwich after making calls at Bromsgrove should have the platform set to UPL at the latter. The down platform at Bromsgrove wasn't reinstated until 1990!

banking issue fixed using NX as stopping location. 0v25 lacks a rule to prevent it running if 1v25 fails to run "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |
