Camden Road Entries - train moving at 0/1 mph 05/11/2011 at 13:48 #22510 | |

Problem with some Camden Road entries - slot is requested and given, but train then spends about 15 minutes "moving at 0 (or 1) mph" before finally getting up to line speed. Can't see any timetable difference bewteen the trains that do this and those that enter normally. Any ideas, folks?

I understand this to be a known bug when the KX Sim is run using the "bad weather" scenario.
When in doubt - Contingency plan 2A. Someone didn't buy the milk - 2A. Someone sneezed at Swansea - 2A. A driver complains the cab is too cold - 2A. Unable to operate a HEx service 4 vice 8 - 2A. Points failure at Ipswich - 2A. Landslip at Pitlochry - 2A Log in to reply |

As a note, it's not just KX that has the Bad Weather bug - Sheffield has it too. Perhaps someone has a full list, assuming it's more than the two?

" said:I understand this to be a known bug when the KX Sim is run using the "bad weather" scenario.I can confirm that this is a known bug. AFAIK there is no known workaround to this apart from either not running the bad weather scenario or carefully routing trains around any trains coming from Camden Road. There is also another known bug when in multiplayer that calls from Camden Road are routed to Hitchin workstation(!). Perhaps someone has a full list, assuming it's more than the two?If I recall correctly, trains on the Hope Valley line also suffer from a 1mph bug in the bad weather scenario. Thank you all - I did indeed have "bad weather" selected. Next time (I have a game in progress at the moment, but next time) I'll choose a standard scenario and just tweak the failure settings a bit. Pleased to know it's not something I've been doing wrong! Log in to reply |

" said:Pleased to know it's not something I've been doing wrong!'fraid to say it is something you did wrong - so the signaller controlling Camden Road instructed the driver of the train to proceed forwards at no faster than 1mph.
