When a short train that will fit into the buffer end TC at P5 arrives, the TCs along the platform line fill red as the train passes but the TC-indicated section of shunt line D remains grey. When the train departs, the TCs along the platform line fill red as expected, but the TC on shunt line D also fills red.

I have checked the other lines as yet so don't know whether it is a one-off or occurs on all of the shunt lines. Prototypical or something strange happening?

matt cooper covered this somewhere (i think in the manual possibly) that within an IECC platform, track circuits only illuminate for a set route, whereas on a diagram such as lime streets (or most manual boxes) it will flood the display.

when the train runs into the platform it has a route set so only illuminates the selected route, however departing, it travels over an unset route (in grey) much like if a train has been talked past at danger, and will therefore flood the TC.

edit: just checked and this is covered as " unusual indications" in the sim operation section

Apologies for the post, then.

Note to self: RTFM.
