Hi, Does anyone know where within St Phillips Marsh the various types of FGW unit stable? All timetables just show 'St Phillips Marsh HSTD', which these days comprises of Victoria Road sidings, Marsh Jn depot and the HST shed. My current theory is that HSTs stable on Victoria Road and the Shed, as they all leave via North Somerset Jn, and units stable on Marsh Jn as they all run via a reversal at Bedminster. From looking around the depot from outside of the wire, they store trains where they can. They generally follow that case, but STP berth more HSTs than lines in Victoria road so there are def some which park up in marsh jn depot, then reverse internally to leave via North Somerset jn. HSTs always leave via North Somerset jn to ensure they are in the right orientation for service, if need turning they do a trip round the triangle to bristol parkway for this to occur. DMUs generall leave to bedminster, but I have seen some in the last using North Somerset.
