On the Ardrossan thing; I think I need to see a save from a few minuted before it goes wrong so I can see what happens and then maybe then deduce why. Peter Just a thought was this from a saved game? There was a problem with Ardrossan which I fixed twice, wonder if it's still going wrong. Peter Yes that appears to be an issue, what I can't understand is why the fix is continually reverting. The ARS is conflicting with the Auto. The Auto settings work in a fairly simplistic way while the ARS follows the details written into the TT (and the ARS and Auto ideas are sometimes are at variance with one another). If you de-select the Auto buttons you should find that everything works as planned. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Peter I did have 2T11 going into the wrong platform but I corrected it, I was also playing with the extra box ticked. Routing as shown on entry for 5T11 no alteration made. Regards Cabooseman Log in to reply |

Peter, I've found another bit of an oddity at PA322, - up line between Falkland and Prestwick - which sometimes (so I can't reproduce a savegame prior to it happening)reverts the train to non - ARS. On clicking "make train ARS" it immediately reverts back and travels on as normal. Not a disaster, but most strange. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Peter Bennet |

For some reason ARS seems to think that the timetables for all 2Txx Glasgow bound trains are invalid so it makes them Non-ARS.

The problem does not occur in a game which has run continuously from first load. Peter is aware and has the fix so it will be solved when the sim is updated. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Oh okay. I got this message pop up "Signal lamp failure detected in the Gourock RR interlocking area" but yet the signal failure was signal PG214 which is at Dalry?

Noticed a very minor issue- shouldn't the 'shunt exit' arrows at Bogston/Wemyss Bay Jn (applying to signals P78 and P67) be white, not grey?

Great sim which I am very much enjoying. I have an internal error message come up at 0716; SwingSet not all swingable. I'm assuming that this is not something to do with an obscure Christmas party.............. Log in to reply |

" said:Can you check that you have the latest version of the loader; there was a problem causing that that got fixed recently. If you already do, do you have a saved game from just before the problem happened? Can you reproduce the problem? If so, can you give instructions on how to do so? All those will help locate the problem (that's a particularly complex piece of code, so I can't just look at it and say what's wrong). Log in to reply |

I'm not sure exactly what it means but I'd need to know exactly point/route that relates to and the circumstances to be able to comment further. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Thanks, chaps. I ran the updates before running the latest version of the 0000 timetable. I did that because I was tardy making my purchase and I knew there were revisions available. The sim has locked up and I cannot do anything without hitting the OK button. If I save then, would that suffice? I'm not sure how long back the last save was, but we'll see: I can save the present position as a different file name. I think the circumstances are that 2W43 was delayed and is now just clearing Dunrod Loop (on the main) and ARS is already setting up the route into the loop for the delayed 2W41 so as to permit 2W40 to cross on it's way back from Weymiss. I'll hold off for a while before hitting the OK button. Log in to reply |

I see how it happens and it is as suspected, I could reproduce in laboratory conditions but was unsure if it could happen in normal running. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: John 23 |

" said:I see how it happens and it is as suspected, I could reproduce in laboratory conditions but was unsure if it could happen in normal running.Actually winding back to the position at launch of the save, the primary problem is the O/Lap from P133 missing. That's because I never envisaged two trains following each other, one direct, one through the loop. The whole shared O/Laps came to light because of one train crossing a day. There is nothing in the raw data that indicates this happens but we were assured by an ex signaller that it could and Realtimetrains indicated it must. Solved the O/L problem which should make the actual problem impossible to achieve (except through fiddling). Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
