Well I'm writing a tt for Motherwell, to chain with the Carlisle 1979-1980 tt I've done, but it isn't new if new means modern era ie. post 2000.

Paisley 2015 is undergoing test at the moment. Motherwell requires some Sim modifications first, currently in the queue behind the older McSims: some of which are at Timetable testing stage. But summer stuff like gardening (damn pigeons are eating the grass seed again I see) have taken up some evenings. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Bearing in mind I have no idea what form of updates the McSims will take but 2 questions I do have regards Edinburgh... 1. What needs to be done to enable more electrification in it especially as if I remember correctly all 4 Haymarket tunnels can take electric trains not to mention Edinburgh now has been remodelled and 2. What needs to be done to take into fact the remodelling of Bathgate since it now goes onto to Glasgow and further afield, not forgetting of course the reopened Waverley route too so what remodelling needs t be done at Newcraighall? That said, I do like seeing what fun I can have with timetables from various sims so look forward to seeing what if any updates become available etc Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Hap |

(With Motherwell it's even more complicated as Newton's been remodelled yet again, so that's a triple layer of virtual TCs). With Edinburgh there's a further complication with a bit of core code that needs fixed. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Any chance of a timetable that matches up with Carlisle for chaining purposes

Mine (1984) will not, it has grown southwards from the 1984 CSCOT / COW to which it should chain. A matching 1984 Edinburgh and NESCOT may appear eventually, but with the very similar 1985 Edinburgh out there (from Agilchrist) it would be more for my own amusement writing it rather than adding much to the range of timetables available. I believe the '1979/80' folks TT (58050 et al) will chain as they are heading north. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Coolah |

Thread strayed a bit: anyway various McSim 2015tts are progressing at varying paces. What I need to know for Motherwell is what are the new bits that were electrified etc. I believe Carmylie to Langloan Coatbridge Northwards Presumably all 3 parts of the Coatbridge/Whifflet triangle Also Newton remodelling. Anything else? Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Speaking of electrification, did you fix the missing bits of electrification for the Wagon Sidings in Motherwell depot and the crossover at Hamilton West?

The electrification is (roughly) as follows. Rutherglen East Jcn - Whifflet North Jcn throughout (Carmyle - Whifflet) , Langloan Jcn - Coatbridge Jcn , Gartsherrie Sth Jcn - Cumbernauld throughout. Cumbernauld - DRS wired along with a short section of the Down Perth (I believe long enough for a 6 Car EMU @ 20 metres per car) plus a few metres for padding. That's for Motherwell , as for Cscot , it's wired from Cumbernauld to Springburn throughout with wiring in place on the Cowlairs Chord just shy of the signal protecting Cowlairs South Jcn. However , at Springburn , the track has been altered to allow departure towards Bellgrove/Cumbernauld from both Platform 1 & 2. Also , a short section has been wired from Sighthill East Junction towards Cowlairs West Jcn , although its not in full. Hope that is of some use to you Peter Ps , Gartsherrie Sth Jcn - Gartcosh Jcn has also been wired too! Last edited: 02/09/2015 at 12:02 by 320322 Reason: Additional Info Log in to reply |

Note that the Up Slow between Gartsherrie South Jn and Coatbridge Central remains unwired.

That's correct , forgot about that. Odd though that they electrify all the other lines yet leave that one. I'm sure the loop at Greenfoot got wired too. Although I'm open to correction

Peter have you come to a decision regarding the Motherwell sim in reference to the problem between Newton & Kirkhill. The last time I mentioned to you regarding my 1979-1980 timetable can't be completed due to the missing crossover between Kirkhill & Newton where the Kirkhill terminators reverse & head back to Glasgow Central you said back then you hadn't made your mind up yet as what you intended to do. Has that position changed yet?

Has that position changed yet?I recall I attempted to do it but it got rather messy. I don't expect to do it this side of the next release of Motherwell. But if it is trains routed via Cathcart then they would not have appeared on Motherwell at that time. Peter Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! OK Peter in view of what you say then if I miss out all the Cl.2 EMU services from Glasgow Central - Kirkhill & there associated return workings then I could finish this timetable. Those trains could then just be added to the Cathcart sim. When that gets done.
