Hi all, Trying to solve a platforming issue at New St. Have routed a Liverpool service into 5 first which is due to stop at platform 5B, however due to its length its covered the overlap into 5A. I changed its timetable to the very end of 5B to stop it coming through to 5A. I now need to get 2W25 into 5A but the route overlap won't timeout after I returned sig202 back after the Liverpool terminator in. Any ideas on what I can do? Switched the platform arrows on to show me what was going on. Also as a side note does anyone know what the operating procedure is when setting the route out towards Derby from platform 7A with a train already in platform 8A? Post has attachments. This is a bit of an odd one. In reality 1L85 and it's back working 1F42 are currently booked to use Platform 4B. The length of Platform 5B is only 44m and this is highlighted on the panel at New Street in a notice that reads... "PLATFORM 5B ARRIVING FROM NORTH END ONLY ROOM FOR A LOCOMOTIVE OR A CLASS 153 UNIT UP TO NS202" The distance between NS228 and NS202 is much greater than that and the reduced platform length is a result of the work to commission Platform 4C. Because the route from NS202 to NS176 has been set to allow the arrival, the route will not die out unless T/C NS T250 (Platform 5A) is occupied. Can you elaborate on the route setting issue from Platform 7A and 8A? Last edited: 22/04/2015 at 11:09 by wellgroomed Log in to reply |

It will not die out because the train has passed the entry signal for that route. There is nothing you can do with it until 1F42 departs. I cannot think of any reason why it would not be allowed to route out of 7A with a train in 8A - the interlocking certainly allows it, although the train in 8A will need to be stopped behind NS170. Thank you for the speedy response on my platform 5 issue! The 7A / 8A issue arrises when I try to route for example a North East service out when the route is set for a XCity service in. I try to route from 168 to 167 but it tells me there is no route available. However I am able to route the North East service out then set the XCity route in behind with the route set right up to 170. Log in to reply |

Assuming you're using my 2015 timetable, that's an incorrect platform allocation. I'd suggest either working around it as best you can or restarting from a save and putting 1L85/1F42 on Platform 2B. I'll fix it in the next version.

Steamer's 2015 timetable in the 2001+ era? As soon as I route anything past 191 it locks the route out from 7 onto the Derby line. Steamer - 1L89 is another one? Log in to reply |

Hi guys, Still struggling with getting trains out from platform 7A (168 TO 167 and 151 to 192) while the route is set into platform 8A. Is this an operational lockout or something I'm not getting right with the routing? Log in to reply |
