Can somebody please help me with this. I'm playing the Kings Cross 1985 v5.33 sim with tt 2.103 by Kurt Sickemore.(start time 00.00.00) I have Diesel No. 0R23 approaching Hertford North at approximately 07.15 destined for Watton Oil Terminal. It's supposed to reverse into the Oil Terminal from Watton K252 (reverse), but I can't find this signal. I've looked at at the signal plan for the old layout and can't see it on that either. I was warned of a compatibility issue at the start of the simulation, so am wondering if this is down to that. The only solution I can see is to send it via Stevenage (if that's possible) and accept the inevitable delays. I have attached a 'save' of the simulation in case it helps. This was the sim available when Kurt wrote the TT. Mark265 explains in the next post how it all works on the more modern .sim version. Post has attachments. bugsy in post 85498 said:Can somebody please help me with this. For that reverse you need the Watton ground frame, cancel all route for main running signals (930 and 929) once the routes are no longer set go to "show" -- "leaver Frames" then select "Watton" then click on the Ground frame release (Watton with "N" with white circle lit up next to an unlit circle near an "F" and "2335" underneath) click on the unlit circle "F" then it is blicking, go to the frame panel, pull down lever "1" (you should now see some shunt signals then pull leaver "2" then "3" and "4" then go back and release leaver "2" then click on "Down Hertford HandSignal". once train has left the area, uncheck "Down Hertford HandSignal" then pull leaver "2" then release "4" "3" "2" and then "1" then right click on flashing circle to release the frame, Log in to reply The following user said thank you: postal |

Hi Mark. Many thanks for your detailed explanation. The train rain has now entered the Oil Terminal. Just as a matter of interest, what is the purpose of 'Lever 5' which I played around with, but didn't seem to do anything? It is mentioned in the Kings Cross User Guide in the section 'Watton GF and is supposed to clear the shunt aspect, but this seemed to clear anyway. Is it now redundant? I would add that I found your instructions a bit easier to follow as well. I think that the User Guide instructions could be amended/updated to include your text and to mention when the 'shunt' signal actually appears. Thanks again Bugsy Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: MarkC |

bugsy in post 85510 said:Hi Mark.Lever "5" would be used for signalling the train on the up Hertford for the oil terminal as it is for Signal "930" it would be almost the same process as I posted before except you do not pull leaver "4" and you would not check "Down Hertford HandSignal" Last edited: 29/09/2016 at 22:44 by MarkC Reason: edited Log in to reply |

Right. I've got that. Also, have just read about Lever '5' and signal 'K930' in the manual. Back to the other trains now. Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |
