Hi all, I have a six-day 1977 Peterborough timetable in preparation and whilst testing have noticed this at Biggleswade. On the Saturday timetable there is a 5B49 empty DMU which runs DSL from Hitchin to Sandy, reverses in P2 and is then manually signalled back onto the UFL and runs to Biggleswade. The description steps as required, including the reversal. On arrival at Biggleswade the train forms 2H94. Whilst the train list updates OK, the description at K768 signal (UFL Biggleswade P2) does not and remains at 5B49, thus ARS does not pick it up. As soon as the description is updated manually, ARS sets a route for it and the train departs. I don't know whether this is as designed or not but I guess not many timetables have a train starting from Biggleswade on the UFL. Automatic Code Insertation (ACI) is only provided at specific locations. As you say, the move is rather unusual, and not one that would be obvious, so ACI won't have been provided at that location.
