I presume there is some custom code applied to trains entering from Ashburys, as it appears that they activate TCs and the approach berths before entering the sim? This has led to the odd situation where 3Q80 is shown as approaching, only for the "entry" to be delayed by 55 minutes. I guess one could imagine that the train has failed just before entering Picadilly SCC's area of control, but I suspect that this will occur for any and all delayed trains entering from there! Edit: It also appears that because of the unusual entering situation, any subsequent trains (in the WTT) will be delayed. After 3Q80 appeared, 5H72 was hot on his tail (also an hour late), and 6Z07 immediately behind too - but again, delayed by 40 minutes after "appearing". What rotten luck for all these trains to keep failing just past Ashburys station... Last edited: 18/11/2017 at 12:11 by Danny252 Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Ive also found (albeit im not sure what the fix would be) that when a headcode is used multiple times in the same timetable, sometimes the wrong timetable is displayed so its impossible to route the train out before it enters.

There are a lot of duplicate headcodes in Mcr North which makes this a real problem. For example 5J70 off Newton Heath at 06.44 - as soon as it divides at Victoria - when you click on it the TT is shown for a 10.19 departure. OK you can go into F2 and work out the formed trains but it is a pain. It needs slightly better rules for when the train is not in the area for picking the correct TT Log in to reply |

Multiple trains with the same headcode: it's a difficult one because the text in the train describer berth is not linked to the train - you can enter almost anything, anywhere. Suffixes would work but then that can cause problems with chained simulations. I'll look at Ashburys. I didn't think trains should be delayed after the sim decides they're going to enter in a minute's time. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Once a train has terminated to form the next working, the timetable popup reverts to showing the first half of the timetable, even though I'm more interested in the second half in order to see the headcode of the next working. Might it be possible to achieve a smarter timetable selection when no matching train is currently within the sim by taking the current time in relation to the planned entrance/exit times into account? Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

For example, let’s say I have trains 1A11-1 and 1A11-2 in the timetable. If neither train is in-sim, I can write 1A11-1 or 1A11-2 in a train describer berth (they hold more than four characters even though they only show the first four) or sticky note, click on it, and get the relevant timetable. But if 1A11-1 is in-sim, then if I write 1A11-2 in a sticky note and click on it, I get 1A11-1’s timetable instead. Log in to reply |

I had the sim running fine with trains entering fine, I turned delays on slightly around 14:00, and 2H51 has not entered at 14:27. By 14:40 I noticed it still had yet to enter. Have attached two saves at 14:00 and 14:27 approximately 5 minutes after the train was due to enter. I know the save data is the previous loader version, but not sure this would fix this as the loader update didn't contain a fix.

FWIW I'm having the same issue on the latest loader version - 2H73 is showing as entered at berth 'A' but is now over an hour late actually entering the area, to the detriment of all services to the eastern side!

I haven't encountered any issues when running a session with No Train Delays set via Options/Failures but have seen the issue if I load a saved session and then set Train Delays. Guts had already logged an issue (0018484) and I have added a sample save to this. Log in to reply |

This could be the reason - I started on the 'normal' difficulty and later upped the delays slightly which was when the problem started occuring - unfortunately I still have a blockage in the Ashbury's area nearly two hours later.

The actual bug comes down to a core code issue (#18520 for those with access), and will only occur if there is a chance of a train being delayed. To workaround the issue, if you notice a train hasn't entered from Ashburys despite the approach track being occupied for at least 120 seconds. 1) Right click on signal 311 and cancel the train description 2) Open F11 and go to track sections unoccupy TASHBURYS_A1 "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply The following users said thank you: GeoffM, Splodge |

May I ask whether there is any progress on that? Three trains had to be deleted in succession this morning.
