Morning, Is it possible for me to move my licence’s from one computer to another? I seem to recall doing this before but that would have been several years ago. I know you can only have the licence on one computer, thank you for your help in advance Log in to reply |

It should 'just work' ...... but that assumes the default starting point. Is your old computer setup using the current SimSig loader 5.21 ? (Problems occur for those left behind on v4.xx etc with license manager) Are your licenses locked to the old machine ? https://www.SimSig.co.uk/License/MyLicenses If so unlock first while you still have access. Make sure you know your login / password (same as for the forum posting) The following posts though show where it has not for various reasons linked to the above https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/54065 https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/54085 The dynamic (ie login linked) licenses of loader v5.xx are fine on any number of computers, but only one PC at a time. This is because, unless deliberately locked to a machine so it can run offline, they are not on the computer at all but are permitted at the initial SimSig loader login. Thanks it will be a fresh install on new laptop - previous one died sometime back I have requested my licences be unlocked as I can no longer access the old laptop it has not worked for many months.
