Tried to set up multiplayer with several people, following the steps from the wiki and common knowledge, and every signle time we run into the error seen below, and cant join: It's become a bit of a problem, we don't get the option to accept clients or anything. That IP address is unusual (though not necessarily wrong). Are you sure it's not 192.168.1.56 rather than 192.168.56.1? In any case, there are two common reasons why one machine cannot connect to the other: the port is blocked by a firewall or antivirus; or the port is not forwarded to that PC. I doubt it's the latter if you're on the same home network. That said, are you all on the same network? If not then you're not using a publicly visible internet address. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

We're all on different networks spread across the UK and one in Sweden if that's what you needed to know. I'll try again with that IP, but besides that, I'm pretty lost (will let you know how it goes)

Nobody can directly see it outside that network. Use this link to get your public IP address. Whoever the host is is still likely needs port forwarding set up. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

It could also be a problem with not having an external IP adress. Using a TCP forwarder like ngrok fixed it for me.
