Hi all, I notice that at most stations, especially termini, dispatchers will give the TRTS much earlier, up to three minutes before departure time, rather than the 40 seconds - a minute that SimSig does Is this something that could be implemented or could be changed? Thanks Log in to reply |

There's an open ticket on Mantis to look at varying TRTS, unfortunately there's not a one size fits all approach to when would be realistic to everywhere, so it's hard to come up with a perfect solution.

Hi Karl, It’d be nice to have a degree of fuzziness on the plungers, I don’t think dispatchers have accuracy to the second IRL :) Thanks Jamie Jamie S (JAMS) Log in to reply |

It could be a user setting perhaps?

is it possible to set a default value (lets say 1 minute) and then make TRTS a developer input value for each location which replaces the default if entered. in terms of rules/decisions and crew changes, presumably TRTS can be made to fire once all these are complete AND the train is within the 1 minute window (or dev input value), which would cause it to be given "late" in some cases, but that's a fair compromise for an overall more accurate experience the other 99% of the time? As for it not departing due to a delay, it wouldn't be the first time that's happened on the real thing. Is there an inbuilt delay added to TRTS for trains at terminal stations that arrive late, therefore would not be ready to start on time?

Something went wrong with default dwell times in the distant past. Last edited: 31/10/2022 at 11:14 by bill_gensheet Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Giantray |
