CE51 to CE37 move - points locked normal by another route 13/01/2023 at 16:15 #150139

I'm running the 79-80 timetable with failures off. 8L42 arrived back from Windermere on Platform 3 at Oxenholme. I cancelled all other routes around Oxenholme and attempted to set the route from CE51 (P3 at Oxenholme) to CE37 on the Up Main. I received multiple "Points locked normal by another route" messages, although I could not see any route that would lead to this position. Eventually, I locked all points in the correct position and asked 8L42 to PSAD. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug?

I've also noticed strange behaviour with trains going into Kingmoor Yard from the south. I've phoned and been advised where to send trains but this does not seem to correspond with the slots being given. On one occasion, I was asked to send a train to Up Departure Line 2 but when I routed it this way, I got a wrong route call. I asked the driver to continue anyway, then got a penalty for sending the train to the wrong place. Since then I've been sending trains where the slot is granted rather than where the message says.

Saved game attached.

Did you turn off the Branch Auto Working at Oxenholme? That keeps the points from P3 to the Down Main locked.

Thank you. I had forgotten about the branch auto working and didn't realise that it prevented a move back onto the main line.
