Marylebone going feels like a wasted opportunity to create a really interesting sim era with CBTC simulated on the Metropolitan line with blue signals for that. Even getting it to a point where East West Rail could be simulated in a timetable would be nice given the current 2016 era wouldn't allow that. Still gutted about this.

Nothing is "going", it's just that there will not be any expectation of any support for what's already there. Updates is a completely different thing, there has never been any expectation of updates. They only happened because the developer wanted to do it. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: RailwayFan8 |

Evening, With Support Sadly ending on various sims shortly, could the developer's before support ends add Heavy Axle Weight Restrictions to the various sims this will aid game play and go some way in stopping heavy freight trains arriving at various locations early owing to no reduction in speed over those sections of lines. Could the attached RT3973's be added to the Tyneside, York North South, West Yorkshire, Leeds East/West and Aire Valley and Ardsley and Sheffield ROC sims. 0D07 in post 157684 said:Evening,Good Evening, Unfortunately this would not be something that we would be looking to implement. It would involve quite extensive work to get right and overall the benefit is limited. If this is something you would like to include on your own games you could make use of the TSR function but this would be applied to all freight trains. You could then potentially share the saved games with others in the file library. Sorry if that isn't the answer you were looking for. Cheers, Log in to reply |

Evening, That is disappointing as you have already implemented this feature on the Doncaster North and Doncaster Station Sims so you have already set a president for this feature. Given that the sims I outlined do have have freight traffic I would disagree with the benefit to the player if anything, for what I call the more boring TT's as in the ones that cover the modern day from say 2009 to now it would make them a bit more challenging regulation wise knowing that train x has to do 20mph over this section of line. I know I have mentioned this before, but with the first lot of support for sims ending soon. Would Carlisle have the remaining bugs fixed before the end of support arrives for it? As I know there is few little bugs on the sim and was hoping this was sorted a long long time ago. I have a couple of new timetables for Carlisle due to be written. Unless there is a surprise of a new Carlisle Sim in the future who knows?. Aaron (AJRO) | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |

0D07 in post 157686 said:Evening, While more work for the TT writer, although maybe only once if you then copy the trains, you could use the category change function to swap maximum speed between any locations. I have only really used it for tampers to slow them down to 4mph 'when working' but should do the job. I probably should revisit the stock Westbury 2006 TT sometime and use this to compensate for stone trains which run too fast uphill. Bill Log in to reply |

Afternoon, As a TT writer myself I totally disagree that it is more work for the TT Writer. Its just a case of ticking the Sim 1 Box. for the "Heavy Slow Freight" trains so its hardly going to make you break into a sweat doing it as you have to enter all that info when creating the train types. There's a particularly nasty HAW restriction between mill race junction and attercliffe Road on sheffield. 15mph for all HAW freights for something like a mile and a half. A fun one to watch on traksy. It is indeed implemented as a custom speed category on doncaster station as it makes a fair bit of distance to certain sectional times. Marylebone still has a few issues with validation around the Banbury area. I guess these will never be fixed now and the sim will just stay broken?

Thanks for the clear statement and open reasoning behind it. That's appreciated, though I'm saddened to see my favourite in the list. That's Oxford. It would be nice if at least three reasonably significant bugs could be fixed, but I do understand the pressure on the developer. I'm thinking of: (1) the potential for a "Mexican standoff" on the Bicester route; (2) the need to access the loco depot from the northbound platform rather than directly into the headshunt and (3) the inability to access down carriage sidings 2-4 from the northern end, affecting run rounds (OK - that last one only for those of us who remember the panel over 40 years ago...). Oxford has increased its trackage and services substantially since the SimSig version was released, with double track to Bicester throughout and extra services to/from the Cotswolds route. Things will develop further in coming years with the extra northbound platform and, possibly, passenger service to Cowley. Then there are aspirations to redouble from Wolvercot to Charlbury. And so it goes.... Perhaps a simulation to revisit in the future as part of the Southampton - Midlands chain? Log in to reply |

Well we have reached the first lot of "end-of-support" to simulations. My question here is.. Has Carlisle managed to have its current bugs fixed behind the scenes? I believe Version 4.3.1 or 4.3.2 was knocking about under test. Since then I've heard nothing. I would like to see at least this one at least fixed for the time being until a new Carlisle Simulation comes along. I'm not asking this for just myself but the community before some may say "You would of though some bugs would of been fixed?" scenario before the end-of-support arrived. Yeah I certainly agree that some of issues for Carlisle but now support has ended I can imagine the test builds will never come out

HST125Scorton in post 157986 said:Well we have reached the first lot of "end-of-support" to simulations.I can confirm that currently there are no test builds of Carlisle available to testers, and there are no plans in the near future to release any updates to Carlisle. Unfortunately the original developer of Carlisle is no longer actively part of the team. Other developers may have done individual fixes since then but as I said before, we do not plan to release an update for Carlisle at this time. That's not to say it will never get an update, as out of support simulations may still receive an update in some cases outlined in Geoff's original post. Just that it is not going to be in the near future as we focus on the supported simulations instead. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: HST125Scorton |

Thank you for clarifying, I helped the developer for Carlisle when it first came to Loader so I can understand.
