Just so we're clear I do not mean the shunt move option in the timetable editor.

Just a quick question: If I have, for example, a loco hauled train coming into a platform that I want to run round, once the loco is detached if I create a timetable with just the locations but no times (--:--:--) would a player be penalised for timeliness if the run-round as happening at like 10am?
Just so the user doesn't get a 10 hour delay penalty on the train! Pullman/bonus train is not ticked.
Or do I have to enter exact times on everything?

00:00 times aren't scored.

The alternative is to time it all out fully but have the initial departure and each reversal entered set to 'Stop and go' in the set-down options, so that the train won't wait for time if running early.

Just for the record. Stop and go isn't required for 00:00 timings (although it doesn't cause a problem). If you haven't already set them, you may want to ensure you have custom dwell times set for the loco so the crew take some time to change ends.
