I am writing this timetable and have come across the following rather strange arrangement when checking through & balancing stock. All from a WTT so no reason to doubt it. 'Camden Carriage Sidings' was virtually unused, while several EMU spent the daytime over in 'Camden Freight Sidings' reached by a tortuous route. (Euston - DCS neck, DCS & clean, Kilburn goods loop - Camden Freight) then inwards on UF. The old Camden shed would be long gone, and most images seem to show a decent number of sidings if not quite as many or as long as now. So any thoughts on what was (not) going on in the CS around that time to result in the use of the old goods depot for EMU ? The washer saw plenty of use but was essentially separate. From doing the 1981 timetable and researching a 1971 timetable, it appears that it was daytime EMU storage (only 1 in 1971 though) and NPCCS tripped by the no1 or no2 pilots which isn't shown in any section C as its adhoc work. No2 pilot states it trips to Camden C.S. as required. Interestingly, there's also a set of stock which stables explicitly on the camden though siding in 1971. It's plausible that spare coaching stock was stabled there for adex/charter work, although the STNs I have all show Adex stock coming from Willesden.
