thickmike in post 102218 said:Hi Mark, thank you for that. In the directory there are a number of files. One is named Kings Cross 1985.wtt with a file date of 10/10/2017 and there is another named Kings cross 1985 v5.33.wtt which is dated 30/09/2006 and has its' partner .wtr file with it. The two .wtt files are identical sizes and I think that, despite the loader telling me it had downloaded a brand new Kings Cross 1985 file, it hasn't done so. Appreciate your help.no prob, they are older versions of the timetable if the have an *.wtr file for them (this from the days of the sim not being of the loader varity) the newest of the 1985 TT set is file name "Kings Cross 1985 0000 Start.WTT" this one does not need a *.wtr file, as timetables developed on loader sims intergrate them into the *.wtt file. although it will still work, it maybe best to use the newest version of the timetable. Having looked at the 1985 TT set that was released for kx loader there are 3 1985 timetables for it, 2 are of the old timetable format (*.wtt and *.wtr) and one on the loader timetable format, (just *.wtt) Timetable file name: Kings Cross 1985 0000 Start.WTT, loader format timetable compleate with rules. This is the most up to date version of these timetables Timetable file name: Kings Cross 1985.WTT, standalone format, has no rules in the timetable as no *.wtr downloaded via updater, is an older version of above timetable, so maybe worth mods\developers removing it from the update server. someusers may have a *.wtr file if they moved it from the standalone installation when the sim was updated to loader. Timetable file name: Kings Cross 1985 0600 Start.WTT standalone format, has no rules in the timetable as no *.wtr downloaded via updater, someusers may have a *.wtr file if they moved it from the standalone installation when the sim was updated to loader. it maybe worth updating to the loader timetable format so it has rules for it Last edited: 12/10/2017 at 19:09 by MarkC Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Thank you all for your help. Using my home PC (as opposed to the work laptop earlier) I have: - downloaded Pascal's 1985-6 timetable which I had not noticed before - clarified that I have Kings cross 1985 0000 start - which appears to be the old Kurt Sicklemore timetable brought up to date (by whom?) - got rid of most of the earlier copies including any old .wtt/.wtr versions I have been working on a revised version of Kurt's timetable plus some of his add-ons which make KX really challenging - but some of Kurt's add-ons were hopelessly optimistic (7 minutes to run round in Welwyn platform 1 takes some doing) and others totally unworkable (New Barnet inner suburban reversers) - so I'll now base it on the revised 1985 version and look forward to a spell with Pascal's 85-86 timetable. I really appreciate all your help this afternoon - I am still not clear quite what happened but I guess all is well that ends.... Btw - which of the timetable import/export tools still work? It will be easier to export to a spreadsheet for example than edit inline, Many thanks again Mike Log in to reply |

Update from me for the year: Existing CSCOT / Cowlairs timetables for 1993 & 1984 checked and updated for sim updates and released. Cowlairs 2016 on the go now - that is with Queen St shut. Not sure if it will be fun, stressful or boring yet. Hopefully a month or two for that. Then I expect to go on to Motherwell (the existing 1984 needs a check over and 1993 needs finishing). I'm currently trying my first serious foray into TT writing with a Piccadilly TT for Saturday 30th December. Approaching 9am now which should speed things up as a lot of services become clock face at that point! Engineering work on Platforms 13/14 mean the sim is effectively split into two, so I'm initially working on the south side which can be released to perhaps offer a slightly easier alternative to the full on weekday TT. That said, the possession means platforms 9-14 were unavailable so easy is perhaps the wrong word; I was working and platforms were being changed constantly! However, I don't intend to put any blockage trains in so it is up to the player how authentic to the day they wish to make it, not least as most of the WTT retains the standard day platforming! There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

Manchester North 2007 (with Oldham loop in operation) released 01/01/2018. Can be downloaded in the usual way. Manchester Piccadilly (the northern bit) 1988 is complete for passenger/ parcels times. Should be ready within 2 weeks. The year and geography (the lines to/from Manchester Victoria) are specifically chosen to make this a viable, true-to-life simulation for 1 person using the Manchester Piccadilly simulation Further simulations for Manchester Piccadilly based on either the 1988 or 1991 timetables may happen as time allows. I confirm I am working on a timetable for the Newport simulation which will, I hope, work despite the lack of a modern layout at Severn Tunnel Junction. The timetable, which is for Good Friday, features the newer varieties of GWR rolling stock (Classes 150, 158 and 800 for certain, plus some 166s if any are booked in the timetable) as well as the usual variety (or lack thereof?) from Arriva Trains Wales. The timetable will feature services that don't normally operate through Newport but this will be due to the resignalling taking place in the Bristol area which will see the transfer, over 5 days (30th March to 3rd April 2018 inclusive), of the Bristol Temple Meads area, plus part of the Severn Beach and Bath lines, to TVSC Didcot. I hope to get this one released: it should be good fun. Dave Last edited: 05/01/2018 at 00:25 by DaveHarries Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I've written and am currently testing a Tyneside timetable based on the actual workings last week, during the Newcastle track upgrade works. What hopefully makes this an interesting timetable is that anything coming into or leaving Newcastle station from the South end has to travel via KEB East Junction and instead go in from the north (in effect turning Newcastle from a through station into a terminus). I hope to iron out any issues in the next week or so and to get it released. Log in to reply |

Haven't had so much time recently for Simsig with things going on but just doing a few final checks having updated loaders etc and then hopefully soon, Brighton, East Coastway, Lancing, Horsham, Oxted 2012 will finally be released. I thank you all for your patience but life sometimes throws curveballs and gets in the way! Updates to the Victoria Central and Eastern 2012 are also ready but I may well hold these back in case changes are needed as I will be hopefully soon starting to write a 2012 timetable for the new London Bridge sim Gareth Log in to reply The following users said thank you: ajax103, uboat, bfcmik, Underwood |

So recently the Oxted, Horsham, Brighton, East Coastway and Lancing April 2012 timetables have been released. The Victoria Central and Victoria Eastern updates (mostly addition of UIDs) are ready but I've decided not to release at present as changes may need to be made for the chaining of London Bridge. The writing of London Bridge April 2012 has begun steadily, with about 1300 trains already entered in. I have created my first timetable with just a few tweaks left to go. I thought I do something simple, and create a Royston Weekday July 2018 Timetable for the sim, featuring Class 365 and 700s. I should have it finished either by Monday (23/07) or Tuesday (24/07). My LTS 1994 timetable is well under way. Most of the passenger traffic is now in the timetable. Once the freight has been done & the timetable tested should be OK to go within August at some point. Subject to whether any sim bugs or other issues are found. All of the LTS EMUs can appear on all of the services as there is a schedule for each class of unit[Cl.302, Cl.305, Cl.308, Cl.310 & Cl.312]. That said the Upminster to Grays to Upminster service is also cover by any class of unit except for Cl.312. The reason for this is because in the 1993 Platform 5 loco & coaching stock book there are only 14 Cl.312 sets allocated to East Ham EMUD(EM) & by far the majority of sets are allocated to Clacton for GE services. I don't have the 1994 Platform 5 loco & coaching stock book to see if more units had been transferred to east Ham EMUD for LTS services. Unless someone on SimSig can confirm they have seen a Cl.312 unit covering the diagram on the Gray - Upminster - Grays working I'll leave that part of the tt with the choice of just 4 classes of EMU. I suspect that the timetable with all the freight traffic & associated shunts & light loco movements will be in excess of 2,000 trains.

The answer to that is no. Don't do modern era timetables, got absolutely no interest in the modern era. I only do BR era timetables. But thanks for asking.

Hiya, I just completed my first one too, not too complex - Exeter W2017/18 which is now available to download. I really enjoyed doing it, so I'm taking the challenge of using decisions as well as rules on my next one which is Leeds North West W2017/18. I've already done the actual timetable writing for Mon-Sat but decided to try using decisions to make it more random as well as it being a personal challenge to get to grips with decisions. So it'll be a little while yet before I let it loose on the masses ! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Vortexhaha |

Looking forward to Gareths London Bridge 2012 WTT! I'm making a slightly quieter London Bridge Sunday 2012 WTT, bit boring I suppose but hope it appeals to those who finds the weekday TT too much (or might otherwise be of no interest!) Southeastern side done, no on the Southern/LO side, but I am finding the Southern WF01A VERY difficult to follow. I'm not sure if it's riddled with errors but none of the platforming in the WTT is puzzling. I cant find any platform workbooks, so I am going by a bit of logic, I.E train arrives P9 at 0710, next train from P9 is at 0725, so must be same unit that came in that goes out on that platform. However, I've already found there is more services booked into London Bridge P10 than there are going out! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: bri2808 |

Underwood in post 110702 said:Are yes, I remember signalling London Bridge (Central). They would have many trains split and join in the platforms, up to three joins/splits in one platform. Also trains berthed for later services or join ups for later services, other services in the meantime worked front train/occupied platform. Sit-Rep on those of you who are interested in the summer 1994 LTS timetable I'm writing. I am at present adding in the last lot of passenger trains from the WTT. Total number of trains in the timetable at present is 2,164 which is only the passenger & ECS workings at some point this week I shall have finished with the assenger traffic & will be starting on the freight traffic. Can't say what the fially total number of trains will be in this tt, but somewhere in the region of 2,500 won't be far off. Once I've added the freight in I'll post another update on here requesting a couple of people willing to test this timetable prior to it's releae subject to any issues found such as missing paths no doubt to do with the freight traffic. Those interested in testing this timetable when completed can PM me. I won't need anymore than 2 or 3 testers & by all means if one of the testers wants to host a multiplay on this timetable then by all means do so. I'm attempting to get this tt finished asap.

Further update on the 1994 LTS timetable. I've now finished adding in all the passnger & ECS movements from the WTT & the total number of trains for this bit of the timetable stands at ,453 trains. This doesn't mean that all these trains will run. The number is high because all of the passenger & ECS workings have 5 different schedules due to the variation of EMU stock being used. The EMU stock in use on the LTS are Cl.302, Cl.305, Cl.308, Cl.310 & Cl.312 any of which can appear on any train with the exception of the Upminster - Grays - Upminster shuttle where only 4 types of unit have been allocated(Cl.312s not allocated to work these services). That said however there are approx. 4 booked 'Q' car movements that run between East Ham EMUD & Ilford EMUD via London Liverpool Street or London fenchurch St. On these workings the following can appear:- Cl.302, Cl.305, Cl.308, Cl.310, Cl.312, Cl.302/9 3 car parcels unit, Cl.309 Clacton based Essex express 4 car set, Cl.313 Great Northern Hornsey based 3 car unit or Cl.315 GE Suburban 4 car set. When I used to cover the unit desk in Liverpool Street RCO between 1990 - 1993 you could see some of these units on the 'Q' cars workings as some units were sent to other depots subject to the workload at therehome depot. 'Q' cars run as required, but in this timetable they run everyday. Now I shall be adding in the Freight traffic using the 1994 loco diagrams that I have & at this time I was Duty Freight Manager at Liverpool Stret RCO & this brings back alot of memories for me. I'll update again when I've finihed adding in the freight traffic & will also be contacting some of you who have speficied an interested in testing this timetable.
