Rugby centre improper signal clearance 15/01/2018 at 13:19 #105093

There are a number of instances of improper clearances of signals at Rugby.

In demo21 attached, I have 2S59 approaching Rugby from Nuneaton. It is ARS enabled. As it approaches RN5372 it calls the route to platform 5 which ought to require RN5368 to clear. Instead RC6002 clears, obviously creating a conflicting route.

If you ask for the route setting status of 2S59 at this stage, you get "2S59 1R01 already on stretch". At this time 1R01 is already at Hanslope.

If you cancel the route from 6002 the information box says "Route cancelled for 1R01 - made non-ARS" and indeed 1R01, at Hanslope, becomes non-ARS.

Corresponding errors have been observed in the down direction at NR5359.

It is unclear what you have done prior to the save. If I run the timetable from 06:30 (when 2S59 appears) it is routed correctly.

Yes, this and several other events like this are intermittent, or rather dependent on what else is happening in the area.
