Hello,
Been working through the (only) TT for LTS, and all has been good so far...

However, Loader updated to 4.6.11 this morning and now trains either going up or down the branch seem to be running at 16mph?!
This wasn't happening before loader was updated, and is now causing late running to not only the service using the branch, but others waiting to use it.

Attached is the last two save files from Sim times 10:36 and a previous one at 10:03.
Also, I have 'snapshots' enabled every 30 minutes. Previously these have fired normally, but the one that should have gone through at 10:30 Sim time hasn't fired??! This seems to be connected to 4.6.11 as it was doing this alright before (see screenshot).

Any ideas Ladies n Gents?

It would seem that it is the running of the save created on an older version of the loader that is causing it. I have Just ran a couple of hours of LTS starting from scratch and thus far I have had no issues on the Ockendon Branch.

When Updating to new Loaders it is NOT guaranteed to be save game compatable

When you have reloaded from a save what file did you from the files titled snapshotathhmm.ssg or the saves you created manually on exiting the sim

I need to reask the prior saves to the 10:03 save being loaded were they the snapshotathhmm.ssg ones. ie you restarted a save from around 0530 did you use the snapshotat0530.ssg ot the manual save from 0535.

I ask as to my knowledge as the 30 mins save are done at xx:00 and xx:30 and almost the full 30 mins need to pass before it will save a snapshot, how ever I do see you have manual saves that are in between the 30 mins snapshots, that why I am asking what saves you are/have been loading from.

My original Testing produced no problems, however further investigation reveals the Timetable I was using had a key difference to the 2014 TT, no Defensive driving rules. I am currently testing further.

So for this morning, I loaded from the 100331.ssg file, not the snapshot.
Not sure what the score is about snapshots... At the end of the day (to the user), these are just .SSG files the that the sim is autosaving... In all sense and purposes, if i needed to, i should be able to re-load from this.

If you load up the 103607 file, there should be a train on the branch. Open F2 and you will him trundling along at 16mph.
I did wonder if a TSR had appeared but this isnt the case. If you watch F2 closely, it does speed up to line speed but then very quickly slows down again to 16mph again...

Is there a way I can restore to the previous version of loader to:
1. Test and see if this doesnt happen on 4.6.XX
2. Restore 'playable' functionality because at the moment its not playable as this 16mph on the branch causes backlog at either end.

You should have an older loader version in program files.

Snapshots are just a normal save they are just made automaticly, although from my experiance if you are partway in to a time frame (in your case every 30 mins) the first one from (re)start does not get done ie if time is at xx:05 past the hour then the xx:30 one tends not to save automaticly, because as near to 30 mins must pass before the save will happen, on the next xx:30 or xx:00.

Ok, loader restored, but is now v4.6.1... The was the only Loader.exe.bak file in place.

However, trains are now running at line speed on the Ockendon Branch when running on 4.6.1.

Not ideal but ill persevere for now and not 'update' until I finish the TT.

Spoke too soon.
*EVERY* signal is that is at red is now flashing red (its very pretty mind) but also not ideal.
The flashing stops if a route is set across it, but im not prepared to go and set every possible signal in the sim to clear this...

Is there a way I can go back to 4.6.10 that I updated from this morning?

4.6.10 was never a public version, unfortunately there's no way to revert other than with the method you have tried.

4.6.10 was never a public version, unfortunately there's no way to revert other than with the method you have tried.
4.6.9 is available from the download area, you could try downloading and installing that.

I think this happens when you load a save of a new loader into an old loader. Starting a new game should fix it. It is an incompatibility between, if I remember correctly 4.6.3 and 4.6.5. So you should be able to use 4.6.9.

I haven't tested (and it will have to wait for the next loader up date to check) but it is probably worth a try at deleting the .bak files before the next update to see if a new batch containing the just replaced files is created. For those who are so minded it might then be possible to have an immediate way back if there are any problems with the updated version.

Perhaps that could even be built in to the update process rather than requiring manual intervention.

Thanks everyone. Have downloaded 4.6.9 and installed and this now appears to be ok.
Speed back to normal on the branch and the flashing reds have gone...

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
