Monday sees the first service train(s) to use the new GN/TL link.

Thameslink trains have been stopping at L Bridge for several weeks, just not advertised strangely. Maybe on diversion or something I don't know

For some reason though none of the departure boards advertise it - They pull in as though not expected as no one seems to get on or off... I thought they were non stop through but they still stopped and opened doors. Very odd

On RTT London bridge isn't in thick bold text, but is still blue. Certainly with our trains up here (Scotrail) that means its a booked 'stopping point'. A glance at the WTT or a crew diagram would be interesting to see if tehre is a code beside the time. for example for Crew change or whatever reason.

I know that doesn't explain why the doors open on the TL services though.

No stop (never mind code!) shown at London Bridge for them in the WTT available for download - the few Down services I glanced at were all shown with passing times on platform 4. Timings to Bricklayers Jn are identical, though, implying the WTT was written with some sort of stop or very long pathing time expected (but not shown).

I tweeted them to find out. Saves the speculation. haha. If Scotrails twitter feed is anything to go by, then I am almost confident that they have had stranger questions.

I suspected driving training... Till I saw each one had a load of passengers. Oh well, bit of a bonus if you preferred L Bridge to Blackfriars

Ha yes I'm a regular correspondent on the GN twitter (same staff as Thameslink & Southern (& GX I suspect)) and we have some strange conversations. Mind you with them being the same staff they sometimes get the accounts mixed up and Tweet about Southern Stuff on GN etc.

From what I've seen in other places, I believe Thaneslink calling at London Bridge is for driver training purposes, but they're happy to let passengers on and off.
But they won't list it as an official timetabled stop because if they can't run to London Bridge for any reason (e.g non availability of driver manager) it doesn't count against them in terms of performance measure etc.

Waiting until Monday afternoon when I am sure there will be a flurry of tweets regarding those who miss the 1522 KGX-PBO being at St. Pancras International rather than King's Cross. The publicity has very recently been stuck on the website - but was it there soon enough and noticed? I know this service in particular is very busy from King's Cross.

I am sure the standard "you can claim via delay-repay" response will be swiftly issued.

I see the preview services start on Monday between Cambridge & Brighton and Peterborough & Horsham . The paths are in RTT as 9J's & 9S's

Also one of the diverted trains is normally a semi-fast to/from KGX and is now running as a fast to/from STP in a Cambridge fast path with the Cambridge fast train running in the Peterborough semi-fast path to/from KGX. Slightly confusing in itself.
