At present sim authors can create scenarios with line blockages etc. Timetable writers have to 'park up' block trains or suggest to users that they set certain signals with reminders or points locked one way or another. Could the timetable format be extended to allow these commands to be entered ? It may be easier (at first anyway) simply to define suitable xml to enter by hand. Say something like <collarsignal>CQ245</collarsignal> <pointsnormal>P739A</pointsnormal> Unless it is useful to more than just a few timetable creators then perhaps do not go to the extent of putting it in the editor. Thoughts from others ? I have not yet set up a Mantis request for this. Bill Log in to reply |

Interesting topic, but i don't think getting a timetable to set protection is the way forwards. After all, in the real world, the signaller applies protection on their workstation/ panel..... Line blocks etc is a feature i would like to see, where the 'requestor' advises which signals/ points the protection limits are. Log in to reply |

I am not thinking it would happen during the sim. Otherwise you have to put in the instructions 'you should collar xnnn, xnnn, xnnn' etc. 'Scenarios' which can be set up by sim authors do this already. A request feature is different and also interesting, would simply be an extension of a level crossing call. regards Bill Log in to reply |
